Spreading sodium chloride on roads to prevent ice from forming is the first key step to guaranteeing road safety during critical winter months. In addition to this preventive function, salt significantly helps with the removal of any subsequent snowfall, preventing it from sticking to the road surface and turning into ice.
Using a patented process, Dal Maso Group processes waste salt from industrial activity and gives it new life, creating an eco-friendly product recognised as a "raw material" and suitable to be marketed as a de-icing solution for road maintenance.
Our salt ECOSGELO® is 100% recycled, has "Remade in Italy®" certification and complies with the special environmental protocols and minimum environmental criteria (MEC) set by the Ministry of the Environment. Remade in Italy® is the first certification awarded for products made from recycled material in Italy and demonstrates outstanding accountability...Read all »
Unlike sea salt, the rock salt we sell is a type of coarse salt which is 99% dry and free from moisture, with various grain sizes, and consequently a longer lasting action. It works at temperatures above -5°C, under high atmospheric humidity, and is even effective in smaller amounts. The hardness and dryness of its crystals provide a good mechanical action that stimulates the melting of ice.
